AMP  is among the oldest public or private utilities in the nation and serves over 38,000 residences and businesses in City of Alameda, a 22.7 square mile island community located across the Bay from San Francisco and to the southwest of the City of Oakland. AMP procures power through long and short-term agreements as an active member of Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) and does not independently own any generation assets. AMP is also a long-time leader in the promotion of clean, sustainable, and renewable power,
